60’s Night: Beehive and Down
With Love

It’s Friday the 13th, I sat in seat 113 and
enjoyed a great musical review about girl groups of the 60’s. BEEHIVE presented
by Theatrical Outfit was a musical trip through the
turbulent 1960s in America featuring all the great music of that period from “My
Boyfriend’s Back” to “Where The Boys Are” in Act I. Act II had music from “Proud
Mary” and “Respect” to “Make Your Own Kind of Music.” I wasn’t sure what to
expect but it was a lot of
fun.

After the show, Brannon and I
returned to my abode to continue the 60’s fun by watching Down With Love, one of my favorite movies but
not before we listened to some old Aretha Franklin recordings from the 60’s -
classic.

“She just belts out
hollaring and squinting so you can’t hardly even see here eyes!”
