Movie Weekend

Friday night I saw the movie Broadway: The Golden
Age
and the director Rick McKay hosted a Q & A after the 7pm show
to discuss the movie and award T-shirts and posters for correctly answered
trivia questions. Then on DVD I saw a spanish movie called Entre Las
Piernas (Between Your Legs)
which was visual treat, it was dark and
enticing and exciting.

This
afternoon, I saw Garden State which was written and directed by
Zach Braff from the TV show Scrubs and one of my favorite movies: The Broken
Hearts Club
. It was mesmerizing and vulnerable and strange and tender.
It is more than Oscar-worthy and both Zach Braff and Natalie Portman deserve a
great deal of recognition for this
film.

Tonight, I saw two movies. On
DVD, I saw Food of Love which I enjoyed very much. One of
the leads, Paul, was so adorable you couldn’t help but fall in love with his
character even though I didn’t agree with all of his decisions. After which I
saw a movie called His Secret Life, which is about a woman who
discovers, after her husband’s death, that he’s been having an affair for 7
years with a man.
