Oct 9

We haven’t done much today. We were all up quite late. We watched the Kerry-Bush debate Anna recorded on her DVR.

We’ve eaten breakfast but now Anne is snoozing on the sofa, Anna is on the phone and I’m typing this account of my weekend so far. Hopefully we’ll get it in gear and go out and do something soon.

OK we finally got it together and decided to drive to Georgetown for some Lucky jean shopping.

Oh yeah, I forgot I owned a salon in DC.

We ate dinner in the skyroom atop the Hotel Washington which overlooks a great many monuments including the white house seen here.

We parked the car so we could take the Metro to Dupont Circle.

While walking around 17th Street we began talking to John and Manuel a couple of four years. They gave us the ’skinny’ on a cool new non-smoking martini bar called halo. Anna and Anne wanted of all things a
Jagermeister and Red Bull shot but somehow they ended up drinking it in full cocktail form. Omar’s response was, “nothing good can come from
this.”

By the way my Ketel One Cosmo was scrumptious.

After halo we went to Club Chaos for a drag show. Anne: “This way guys!”

This performer as Tina Turner was incredible.

I’m all about having fun. This performer sang Whitney Houston’s I’m every woman with her two front teeth blacked-out and with this silly thick glasses. Genius!

I wish I could have gotten a better pic. She is wearing high-top sneakers.

Anne makes a friend.

Time to go.

This is the capital building on our drive home.
