Jim and Maria’s Rehearsal Dinner
After arriving in Kansas City, getting to the hotel, attending the rehearsal at the church, we made it to Salvatore's Italian restaurant.
And let's just get one thing squared away right now. Smiley and Jim are one and the same. For going on 15 years that's what I've called him, so it's hard to all of a sudden call him Jim now. When his mom would call our apartment in college and ask for Jim, I'd say she had the wrong number and hang up on her. Of course, I would never do that now, but I digress so here we go:

Jim and the lovely Maria.
Smiley's little sister, Rose Ellen, who is my honorary little sister or maybe just the one I wish I had and Omar.
Jim and his father Jack.
Kevin and Liz.
Tim and Chris.
Maria enjoying her Piña Colada.
Inside of Salvatore's.
Smiley sneaking a smooch.
An interesting conversation.
Carla and 'Kala.
Maria and friends.
Kevin and Liz.

About this time in the evening, I'd finished my Chicken Spaedini which is my new favorite Italian dish. It was DELICIOUS, to say the least and as Smiley's dad was about to begin his speech, I was about to begin my Canoli.
Jack gives a speech.
Anthony and Tommy speak about their sweet little sister Maria.

After dinner, a car drove a group of us to continue the party. Below Smiley and Frank, his older brother, attempt to figure out the stereo controls.

Hey, we had a driver.

We arrived at our destination, The Levee.

Right before we "kicked it up a notch"

When I thought it was over and we were going home, I was surprised to find myself here:
Frank belted out a few tunes.
