I recycle, I do what I can not to pollute the environment but I also live in a city. I’m not accustomed to seeing wild animals just a few feet away from me. This afternoon I noticed a hawk perched in a tree right outside my apartment. I’ve rarely seen a hawk like this so close in real life.
He was a quite large for a bird and he was beautiful.
I was surprised, a little scared and respectful of such a lovely bird but somehow I knew he was there to protect me. [I know that sounds a little weird but that's how I felt at the moment.]
After I snapped this pics, I dropped my camera off inside my apartment. When I returned outside to watch him some more, he was gone. He never made so much as a sound.
