Tonight, I had the opportunity to meet Will Wikle of Big Brother and more recently Logo’s
Round Trip Ticket. For the record, I didn’t see Big Brother but I have seen Round Trip Ticket on Logo, the new gay network.
The purpose of the evening was to bring attention to The Trevor Project which is the only nationwide, around-the-clock suicide prevention helpline for gay and questioning youth. Suicide is one of the top three killers of young people. The Trevor Project’s work is especially critical because gay and questioning youth are three times more likely to attempt suicide than their heterosexual peers.
I spent a few minutes chatting with Will Wikle and found him to be a very sweet and personable guy. He was very friendly to everyone he met and he was gracious to people like me who asked for a photo and autograph.
He’s on the cover of the October 2005 Instinct magazine and he told me he’s going to be on Out magazine’s cover.
